Whether you create the files or hire someone else to do it, you’ll need to know a few things about getting your book ready for uploading. And I’ve worked with several authors who get stuck here. Some of the technical terminology throws them off because it’s related to commercial printing and design. And who wants to think about that stuff when we love the writing part?
I don’t blame you. And sometimes, looking over the technical stuff helps authors know where they should hire help.
This week’s podcast episode is titled “Prepping a Book File for Publishing.”
I covered a lot of ground in the episode, but I knew I wanted to offer some bonus content. Paid subscribers will be able to continue to scroll and find more detailed notes plus a free checklist to download to help with making sure the technical specs are all in order before they upload.
I’m hoping that if you’re following each week, the pieces are all coming together for you. Sometimes, even bite-sized pieces are overwhelming to chew, so reach out and let me know where you get hung up. I might even turn it into an episode to help everyone!
